Foolscap 2023 is happening. In person and online. It's Alive!
For one day only, Foolscap is hosting our annual gathering at the Auburn Community and Event Center in Auburn, WA on Saturday, August 19th from noon to 10:00 pm PDT.
We will have our usual lively discussions, our cozy Commons complete with games, puzzles, and the Magic Book Box, as well as our usual delicious Hospitality spread. We will also work on streaming on Zoom in one of the discussion rooms for our members who cannot make it to our live event.
When we sat down a couple of months ago to decide on whether to go back to an in-person event this year, we discussed all the pros and cons, pushed some ideas around, and decided that we did want to get back together, but since we no longer had a contract with our old venue, we had to start from scratch. We toured a variety of venues and settled on the Community Center in Auburn for our new one day event — think of it as our Saturday from our old format! This venue is all on one level, has plenty of free parking, and has a kitchen we can use for Hospitality. I think it will be a great place for us to gather.
We can’t wait to see everyone again, talk with everyone again, and create with everyone again.
